“The essence of love,” a “monument of incredible beauty” that sits magnificently on the banks of the Yamuna River. The thoughts that come to mind when viewing it. The Taj Mahal of Agra are not only of its magnificent beauty, but also of the great love that inspired its building. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan had this monument built in honour of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, with whom he fell in love at first sight.
